Birdhouse Giveaway Winners

Hey friends, the giveaway has concluded, and our winners have been randomly selected:

  • Brenda McCommis
  • Mary Stowman
  • Amy Riley

Winners, congrats! You should have received an email from us on January 29 or 30 (depending on your timezone). If you haven’t done so already, please reply at your earliest convenience, as you have 14 days from the date of that email to claim your prize. Please check your spam folder, or contact us right away if that email never arrived.

My condolences to the rest of you. You aren’t losers. You tried your best, and that’s all that matters. You’re probably better off anyway. I once saw an E! True Hollywood Story on past lottery winners—sort of a “where are they now?” thing—and without exception, they are destitute addicts. So who knows what might have become of you had you won.

I had grand intentions to post a step-by-step tutorial for building birdhouse nightlights along with this announcement. Instead of writing that long-overdue post (it’s coming soon, I promise), we spent half our weekend in the animal emergency clinic, because our house is a cat puke minefield. How was your weekend?

I realize I’m late to your party, but did you ever do the step-by-step tutorial? I can’t seem to find it if you did. I just love what you did. So much more dimension than the vinyl decals I was planning to use. I’m sure my husband can figure out a way to get this done, but if I buy the supplies and set up a plan, then he has to do it! Love your blog! Happy my aggressive nursery planning/nesting brought me to it!

    1. Christina, I’m as late to replying as you were. Sorry about that! Truth be told, we let this whole blog thing get completely away from us as we renovated our second floor while starting foster care. I recommend each of those things independently—but absolutely not at the same time. That’s a long way of saying, no, I never posted the plans. Of course, if you’re wanting to decorate an entire nursery with a bunch of unique of birdhouses, your husband may want to just sort of “freehand” it like I did for the sake of variety. Of course, if you have any questions as you get into it, please don’t hesitate to shout. I’ll try to reply faster next time.

Sorry about the cat puke. But happy that I won! My girls are probably going to fight over who gets it in their room.
